Employee-of-the-Year

Meet the winner

Leo Linkesch – Marangoni

Leo Linkesch works as Area Manager in the Marangoni’s Retreading Systems business unit. He’s responsible for sales in the easternmost part of Europe, in the Russian Federation and many other Russian-speaking countries. He’s been working for Marangoni since 1998, but the first contacts with the company go back to 1994. From the beginning of his career, he has contributed significantly to the creation and expansion of the Marangoni network of independent retreaders in Eastern Europe.

Leo’s commitment was paramount for the growth of Marangoni’s business in Eastern Europe, a region that was changing rapidly in the 90s. The key to success was precisely his ability to understand both sides of the former Iron Curtain and the different forms of mentality and ways of thinking in these two worlds. He’s a professional with an excellent dedication to work, always supportive and proactive in solving any customer issue. The knowledge of many languages and his passion for journalism makes it easy for him to spread the culture of retreading.

Meet The Nominees

Saverio Musto – Corgom

Saverio Musto is the Commercial Director of Italian retreader and tyre recycler Corgom SpA.

Corgom has been retreading tyres in Italy since 1989, but in recent years the company has expanded its range of activities to include tyre collection and recycling.

Saverio has been nominated specifically for his determination and success in helping the company develop new markets in the retreading and recycling sectors.

Mafi Pulu – Tyrecycle

Mafi is a mainstay of the customer Service team at Australian tyre recycling specialists Tyrecycle. She is responsible for taking all manner of enquiries from customers nationwide as well as processing product orders and running all applicable end of month reports.

Mafi was nominated due to her can-do attitude and cheerful disposition. According to her employers, she always has a smile on her face, and the Tyrecycle Customer Service team simply would not function without her.

Ankita Saikia – Tyromer

Ankia Saikia is Director of Quality & R&D at Canadian tyre and rubber recycling specialists, Tyromer. She has been nominated for her dedication to her role, her creativity and her detailed understanding of devulcanization, which has made her a key part of the Tyromer team.

In Quality, Ankita helped the Tyromer Waterloo facility pass its ISO 9001:2015 recertification with zero non-conformities – a big accomplishment. This was her 1st audit without her mentor around to help. Ankita is also leading ISO certification for new Tyromer facilities in Canada and the Netherlands.

Beatrice Stedile – Marangoni

Beatrice Stedile is working for years as a customer service representative in Marangoni’s Direct Retreading business unit. She joined the company in 1999 and recently has assumed the responsibility for the sales of TBR and OTR retreads manufactured in Rovereto and sold in the french-speaking areas.

At the beginning of her career, Beatrice worked hard to understand the “tyre world” and was able to reach an excellent feeling with the customers immediately. Year after year, her business knowledge grew at 360 degrees together with the customer’s care ability. She covered all Marangoni products and markets, and attended most of the trade exhibitions abroad, performing very well with the customers also on these occasions. She’s always able to cooperate fruitfully with all the functions of the company, keeping calm and being solution-orientated even in the most challenging situations.
